Welcome to the Department of Sociology

The Department of Sociology combines sociological research and teaching at the University of Vienna.

Sociological research at the Department is characterised by a wide range of key research areas and methodologies as well as numerous research projects. In the area of teaching, the Department offers a six-term bachelor´s programme and a four-term master´s programme in Sociology.
