Curriculum vitae

Caroline Berghammer ist Assistenzprofessorin am Institut für Soziologie der Universität Wien (seit 2019) und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Vienna Institute of Demography/Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften, Wittgenstein Centre (IIASA, OeAW, Univ. Vienna) (seit 2005). Sie promovierte 2010 am Institut für Soziologie der Universität Wien und war von 2011 bis 2018 als Universitätsassistentin (Post doc) beschäftigt. Von 2018 bis 2022 hatte sie eine Elise-Richter-Stelle, gefördert vom Wissenschaftsfonds FWF, inne. Im Jahr 2006/07 nahm sie an der European Doctoral School of Demography am Max-Planck-Institut für demografische Forschung in Rostock/Deutschland teil. Sie absolvierte kurze Forschungsaufenthalte an der Princeton University, University of California, Berkeley, University of Toronto und University of British Columbia (Vancouver).

Caroline Berghammer is an assistant professor at the Department of Sociology, University of Vienna (since 2019) and research scientist at the Vienna Institute of Demography/Austrian Academy of Sciences, Wittgenstein Centre (IIASA, OeAW, Univ. Vienna) (since 2005). She received her PhD in Sociology from the University of Vienna in 2010 and held a postdoctoral position from 2011 to 2018. From 2018 to 2022, she held an Elise Richter senior postdoctoral position, funded by the Austrian Science Fund FWF. In 2006/07, she participated in the European Doctoral School of Demography at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock, Germany. She was a short-term visiting scholar at Princeton University, University of California, Berkeley, University of Toronto and University of British Columbia (Vancouver).
