International Conference: "Love, sexuality and intimacy in exile - historical and current perspectives"

"Love, sexuality, and intimacy in exile" is the theme of the 2025 annual conference of the Austrian Society for Exile Research (öge), held from 23 to 25 November in cooperation with the Austrian Exile Library at the Literaturhaus, Qwien, and the Department of Sociology at the University of Vienna.

The lectures approach the little-noticed experiences of refugees from a historical and current as well as an interdisciplinary perspective, combining approaches from exile research, women's and gender history, contemporary and cultural history, as well as queer studies, sociology, and political science (24 and 25 November, 9:00 to 17:00, Sky Lounge, Oskar-Morgenstern-Platz).

Book presentation Martha’s Labyrinth by and with Marc Verschooris on 23 November, 18:00 at Qwien, Ramperstorffergasse 39.
